THE BALCONY

Little Al's at the THE BALCONY

tHE BALCONY CAFE

Nestled upstairs in the glorious Victorian architecture of the Worcester City Museum and Art Gallery, the Balcony Cafe is proudly independent and a welcoming establishment where you can be sure that every piping hot latte and sumptuous homemade cake is served with a smile. We cater to everyone and offer a selection of alternative goods, such as gluten-free options, milk alternatives, and vegan choices.

We are also proud of our location, marvel at the opulent staircase leading you to our tempting café! It’s all in the detail, as both the interior and menu are here to entice you!

Travel here with ease, as we’re located less than a five-minute walk from Worcester Foregate Street Station. We’re also just a stone’s throw away from the vibrant town centre, so come and say hello after a busy afternoon shopping! Our cosy cafe is the perfect spot to hide away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the uniquely changing art installations and historical artefacts of Worcester. This is a great opportunity to discover the history of the city, as well as learn about talented featured artists presented on our walls.

Our tables and chairs are understated and inviting, we don’t want to outshine the glorious Victorian architecture. You can expect fresh flowers on each table, as well as a sensational view through the arches on the balcony with beams of light that illuminate the setting. So you can sip on a strong brew and enjoy the views!

We pride ourselves on serving consistently great and fair-trade coffee in our eye-catching William Morris mugs, as well as a plethora of brunch favourites. Tuck into some of our favourites, including beans and soldiers, hearty soups, slow-cooked ham sandwiches, and not to forget cracking sponge cakes. Many of our options are traditional favourites with a twist, and we swap out our ingredients to give you seasonal varieties when you stop here for a tasty lunch.

Above all, we stand for serving ethically and responsibly sourced food and drink. It’s important to us to work with local and ethical suppliers to serve you scrummy, comforting, and quality goods.

We’d like to think we’re pretty good at remembering your order too! Even though we opened our doors recently, it’s always a pleasure to see our regulars and new friendly faces. From morning commuters to family brekkies, and couples who brunch together; come and stop by, as we’d love to see you! Feel free to take away any of our menu items. We offer plastic-free, compostable, and responsibly sourced packaging from local suppliers to ensure we minimise our impact on the environment.
