Ethical and Sustainable Cafes
Find out moreIn 2022, we were proudly awarded the Ethical, Responsible, and Sustainable Tourism Award for our dedication to implementing the best ethical and environmental practices in our business. Our team is delighted to be championed with such a prestigious and momentous award as we pride ourselves on maintaining high standards throughout our entire supply chain all the way to the coffee you hold in your hand.
We work with some of the best local suppliers fuelled by heritage, quality, and passion. It’s the same in our delightful cafes too. Find our fridges stocked with responsible products and plastic-free cold drinks. Our water comes canned too! Packaging is something we constantly evolve to ensure we meet high environmental standards. By using local suppliers who provide plant-based, responsible, and compostable takeaway cups, you can sip your drinks in style without worrying about where your rubbish will end up!
A special mention goes to Coffee Masters, Bennetts, and Mawley Town Farm. Without these forward-thinking suppliers, the base of all of our offerings wouldn’t be as magical! We can say for certain that our coffee, ice cream, fresh milk, and cream are top-notch!
In recent times, we have also had the opportunity to educate and support others by presenting at a networking event organised by Visit Worcestershire. It was an honour to attend The West Midland Safari Park to discuss our thoughts on running an ethical, sustainable, and responsible business.
We don’t just serve scrumptious food and drink, we also work with communities to tackle environmental challenges. Alongside this, we are committed to following our values from in-house to within the wider society as we believe that each of us can make a difference. Our drive and commitment have already made an impact! As of this year, Little Al’s Kitchen has already planted over 22,000 trees to contribute to important environmental restoration work.
It’s the simple things too! You’ll regularly find us advertising leftover coffee grounds to use as garden compost, alongside cardboard boxes and other goodies at all of our cafes as we try and reduce our waste as much as possible.
Let’s not forget, our food and drink. The majority of our offering is lovingly made on-site and is always responsibly and ethically sourced. Transparency is key at Little Al’s Kitchen and we love to shout about our suppliers, as it’s them that provide us with the key components for an ethical infrastructure. Wholeheartedly community-focused and keen to give back, we often like to rustle up personalised refreshments to give our suppliers the experience they deserve. Our traditional cakes always go down a storm!
